Devils, Kings and Chimps: Our Avatar Designs Explained
Every Avatar design in our store comes from the band's albums, symbols and stage show. Here is what is printed on each one, so you can pick the one that means the most to you.
Which designs come from Dance Devil Dance?
Six of them. Dance Devil Dance Stencil sprays the wordmark, the ritual emblem and the title on in rough white. Dance Devil Dance Flames is a yellow and red poster with a grinning devil over a ring of fire. Dance Devil Dance Emblem puts the red emblem on the front and the title in huge scratchy letters on the back. Vintage Dance Devil Dance looks like a retro game box, with face-painted kids around a glowing circle. Chimp Mosh Pit, named after track two, sends a pack of snarling apes charging under the emblem. Afterbirth takes its name from the limited blood-filled vinyl edition of the album, released for Halloween 2023.
What about the other records?
Glory to Our King is for Avatar Country: a crowned king on his throne in gold, with the opening track's title on the back. Hail the Apocalypse Face is a torn, blood-stained portrait with ALL FLESH IS EQUAL WHEN BURNT across the back. Cruel and Unusual and Feels Like Drowning carry the name of the 2021 single "Cruel and Unusual", and Barren Cloth Mother, named after another 2021 single, pairs the wordmark with a haunting charcoal-style drawing on the back.
And the rest?
The Great Metal Circus shows a ringmaster riding a falling bomb, with a blunt slogan on the back. Curtain Call is a screaming painted face between red curtains. Spiral and Five Faces are portraits of the band, and Gold Logo is just the spiked wordmark.
How do I choose?
Go with the record that hooked you, or the art you'd want to look at every day. Every design comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, plus kids' and youth sizes. See them all in the shop.
